ಇದು ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನಗಾಥೆಯ ಅನಾವರಣ.. ಇಂದಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಸಾಧಕರು ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಯಕ್ಷಭೂಮಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೆಯ ವೇಷ ಮತ್ತು ಪುರುಷ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ವೇಷಧಾರಿ ಅರೆಹೊಳೆ ಸಂಜೀವ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು... ಇವರು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೇರೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅರೆಹೊಳೆ ಎಂಬ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಕಾಂಬು ಶೆಡ್ತಿಯವರ ಆರು ಜನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೆಯವರಾಗಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ:15.01.1980ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು.. ಹವ್ಯಾಸಿ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ತಂದೆ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರ ಪ್ರೇರೆಪಣೆಯಿಂದ, ಊರ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಬಯಲಾಟಗಳಿಂದ ಆಕರ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿ,ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಒಲವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.. ಅರೆಹೊಳೆ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳನೆಯ ತರಗತಿಯವರೆಗಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು,ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ಉಳ್ಳೂರು ಶಂಕರ ದೇವಾಡಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಾರಿಕೆ,ವೇಷಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾತುಗಾರಿಕೆಯ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಇವರು ಹೆರಂಜಾಲು ಗೋಪಾಲ ಗಾಣಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಳ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು...ತನ್ನ ಹದಿನಾರನೆಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ರಂಗಮಂಚವೇರಿದ ಇವರು,ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಜ್ಜೆಕಟ್ಟಿ ತನ್ನ ಯಕ್ಷಬದುಕನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದರು.ನಂತರ ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ,ಶಿರಸಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ,ಸೌಕೂರು ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ,ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ,ಮಂದಾರ್ತಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ,ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಹದಿನೇಳು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಟ ನೆಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ... ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ,ಸುಲಲಿತವಾದ ಇವರ ವಾಗ್ವೈಕರಿ,ನೀಳಕಾಯ,ಎರಡನೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಪುರುಷ ಪಾತ್ರಕೋಪ್ಪುವ ಇವರ ಆಳಾಂಗ,ಸುಂದರ ಮುಖಚರ್ಯೆ,ಗಾಂಭೀರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಲಿತ್ಯದ ಮಿಶ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ನಾಟ್ಯ,ಸುಂದರವಾದ ವೇಷಭೂಷಣ ದೊಂದಿದೆ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾದಿಸಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿವರು... ಭೀಷ್ಮ, ಕರ್ಣ,ಕೌರವ,ಅರ್ಜುನ,ರಕ್ತಜಂಘ,ದ್ರೋಣ,ಶಲ್ಯ,ಕಂಸ,ಜಾಂಬವಂತ,ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿ ಸೈ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಇವರು,ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮಹಾತ್ಮೆಯ,ಕಂಹಾಸುರ, ಮೂಕಾಸುರ,ಕೋಲಮುನಿ,ಚಂದಯ್ಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವ ತುಂಬಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಬಲ್ಲರು... ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವಾಗ್ವಿಶಾರದರಾದ ಇವರು ಕೇವಲ ಆಟದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ,ತಾಳಮದ್ದಳೆಯ ಕೂಟಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಬಾಗವಹಿಸಿ,ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಖರ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾತುಗಾರಿಕೆಯ ಶೈಲಿಯಿಂದ ಜನಮನ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ..ಸಿದ್ದಿವಿನಾಯಕ ಯಕ್ಷಮಿತ್ರ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ತಾಳಮದ್ದಳೆಯ ಕೂಟದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿ. ಸಿದ್ಧಕಟ್ಟೆ ಚೆನ್ನಪ್ಪ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ,ವಾಸುದೇವ ಸಾಮಗ, ಸಿದ್ಧಕಟ್ಟೆ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ,ಮಡಾಮಕ್ಕಿ ಪ್ರಭಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ಇವರು ಶನಿಕಥೆಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾಗಿಯೂ ಕೂಡ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ದಿನಾಂಕ:31.08.2015ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ರವೀಂದ್ರ ಕಲಾಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಠಾರಿ ಸಮಾಜೋದ್ದಾರಕ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪೆರ್ಡೂರು ಮೇಳ ಮತ್ತು ಅತಿಥಿ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಕೂಡುವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡ ಜಾಂಬವತಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಂಬವನಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿ,ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಪಾತ್ರಧಾರಿಗೆ ಸಮದಂಡಿಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಬುದ್ಧತೆಯ,ಪಾಂಡಿತ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗ್ವೈಕರಿಯಿಂದ ಕಿಕ್ಕಿರಿದು ತುಂಬಿದ ಸಭಾಸದರ ಮನ್ನಣೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಜಯನಗರದ ಬಂಟರಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಕುಂದಾಪ್ರ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದ ಕುಂದಾಪ್ರ ಭಾಷೆಯ ನರಹರಿ ಹೊಯ್ಕೈ ಪ್ರಸಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಜುನನ ಪಾತ್ರ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿ ಸೈ ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾಡಿನಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹಲವಾರು ಪದರ್ಶನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ,ಅಪಾರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಇವರಿಗೆ,ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಘಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಂದ "ವಾಗ್ವಿಶಾರದ" ಬಿರುದು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಸಮ್ಮಾನಗಳು ಸಂದಿವೆ.. ದಿನಾಂಕ:20.03.2002 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಯವರ ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಛಾಯಾಶ್ರೀ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣಿ ಎಂಬ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮುದ್ದು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಇವರು ಸುಖ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಆಕಾಶದೆತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆರಲಿ,ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸುಖ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಮಂದಾರದ ಶುಭಹಾರೈಕೆ.. ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ:ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ.. ನಿರೂಪಣೆ:ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಮೃತ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ.. ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಕಾರ ಜಯರಾಮ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹೈಗಿನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಹೊಸೂರು.. ಪ್ರದೀಪ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ನಾರ್ಕಳಿ ಯಕ್ಷಮಂದಾರದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಳದ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಮಂದಾರ facebook pageಗೆ join ಆಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯೂಟ್ಯೂಬ್ ಚಾನಲ್...ನ್ನು subscribe ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ.. ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಡಿಯೋವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ like ಮಾಡಿ,share ಮಾಡಿ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿ.. ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು..🙏🙏🙏

This is an exhibition of the achievements and life of yakshaartists.

Today our yakshakas are the famous saints who are in the second and male roles in the yakshabhoori of badgutitttis.

He was born on 15.01.1980 in the small village of Arehole in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district and was the second of the six children of Narayanshetty and Mukambu Shetty.

Inspired by the amateur artistes, Narayana Shetty, he was attracted to yakshagana and attracted to the yakshagana saga, which was performed around the village.

He had studied in the Government Primary School, Arehole up to class VII, and gained knowledge of the footwork, costume and speech of the famous artistes ullur Shankar adewadi, and gained the knowledge of tala in Heranjalu Gopala Ganiga. At the age of sixteen, he started his yakshagana at Themarankate Mela, then he started his yakshagana at Themarankate Mela, one year at Haladi Mela, one year at Sakur Mela, two years at The Kamalashile Mela, four years in The Mandarti Mela, and now he has been roaming the Marankate Mela for seventeen years.

His eloquent, smooth, elegant, long and male characters are the most famous artists who have mastered the stage with a beautiful face, a mixture of dignity and salutation.

He is known for his roles like Bhishma, Karna, Kaurava, Arjuna, Raktajanga, Drona, Shalya, Kansa, Jambawant, Shatrughan and others, and can give life to the characters of Mahatma, Kamasura, Mookasura, Kolamuni, Chandayya Shetty and others.

He is a great speaker, not only in the game but also in the talamadala parties, and has won the hearts of the people with his brilliant and scholarly style of speech. Siddhivinayak Yaksamitra's talamadalaya party of the Board of Yakshamitra Siddhakate Chennappa Shetty, Vasudeva Samaga, Siddhakate Vishwanath Shetty, Madamakki Prabhakar Shetty have also studied their scholarship. He is also serving as an artist of Saturn..

On 31.08.2015, he played a jambaava in The Perdur Mela and guest artistes in the rabindra kalakshetra in Bangalore and was recognized as a jambava, who was acclaimed as a well-known krishna character with his maturity and scholarly orator.

Arjuna played the role of Arjuna in the Narhari Hoikai episode of Kundapra language held on the occasion of World Kundapra Day at Bantar Awana in Bangalore, Vijayanagara last year.

He has received many praises and fans across the country, including the title of "Vagvisaradha" by fans and associations.

On 20.03.2002, jyoti held his hand and had two lovely children, Chayasri and Brahmani, and lead a happy and satisfied life.
