ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾನಗಂಧರ್ವ ದಿ. ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ನಾವಡರು ಉತ್ತುಂಗ ಶಿಖರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲವದು...ರೇಡಿಯೋ,ಧ್ವನಿಮುದ್ರಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಡರ ಪದ್ಯದ ಕಂಠಸಿರಿಗೆ ಮನಸೋತು ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದೆಡೆಗೆ ಅಭಿರುಚಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಹುಡುಗನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಲಾಮಾತೆ ಕೈ ಬೀಸಿ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು..ಅವರು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರು ಅಲ್ಲ..ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಂಡುವೇಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನದೇ ಶೈಲಿಯಿಂದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಗುರುತು ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಯುವ ಕಣ್ಮಣಿ ತೊಂಬಟ್ಟು ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು.... ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ತೊಂಬಟ್ಟು ಎಂಬ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ,ಕೃಷಿಕ ವಿಶ್ವಕರ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಅಣ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಗಿರಿಜಾ ದಂಪತಿಗಳ ಮೂರು ಜನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊನೆಯವರಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ ಮೇಳದ ಈಗಿನ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಜ್ಜೆಕಟ್ಟಿದರು... ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಒಡನಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿ,ಕೇಳಿ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತ,ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಲಿಯುವಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದ ರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕೊಚ್ಛಾಡಿ ರಾಮ ದೇವಾಡಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡು ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು..ನಂತರದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾದರ ಜಲವಳ್ಳಿಯವರ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ಪೆರ್ಡೂರು ಮೇಳವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು...ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಮೇರುನಟರಾದ ದಿ.ಪದ್ಮಶ್ರೀ ಚಿಟ್ಟಾಣಿಯವರ ವೇಷಗಾರಿಕೆ ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಾಢವಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬೀರಿತಲ್ಲದೆ,ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಷ್ಯನಂತೆ ಅವರ ಒಡನಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಒಳಹೊರಗಿನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾದಿಸುತ್ತ ಬಂದರು... ಬಾಗವತರಾದ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯ ದಾರೇಶ್ವರ,ಸುರೇಶ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ,ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗೋಪಾಲಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಮೇಳದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಇವರ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಲಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಉನ್ನತಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ಇವರ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿ.ಚಿಟ್ಟಾಣಿ, ದಿ.ಜಲವಳ್ಳಿ ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ ರಾವ್,ಆರ್ಗೋಡು,ದಿ. ಹುಡುಗೋಡು ಚಂದ್ರಹಾಸ, ದಿ. ಆಲ್ಮನೆ ಪದ್ಮನಾಭ,ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗೋಪಾಲಾಚಾರ್ಯ,ದಾರೇಶ್ವರ,ಸುರೇಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ,ಹೊಸಂಗಡಿ ರವೀಂದ್ರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಜನಾರ್ದನ ಗುಡಿಗಾರ,ಕುಮಟಾ ಗಣಪತಿ ನಾಯ್ಕ,ಥಂಡಿಮನೆ, ಯಲಗುಪ್ಪ,ಶಿರಳಗಿ, ಶಂಕರ ಹೆಗಡೆ,ಚಪ್ಪರಮನೆ,ಸೀತಾರಾಮ ಕುಮಾರ್, ರಮೇಶ್ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಯವರಂತಹ ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ... ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ, ಪೆರ್ಡೂರು, ನೀಲಾವರ, ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ,ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪೆರ್ಡೂರು ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ರಂಗಪ್ರವೇಶದಲ್ಲೇ ಮಿಂಚು ಹರಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಪಾದಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ,ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪುಂಡುವೇಷ ಮತ್ತು ಪುರುಷ ವೇಷವನ್ನೇ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಅಭಿಮನ್ಯು ಕಾಳಗದ ಅಭಿಮನ್ಯು ಮತ್ತು ಚಿತ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದ ರುದ್ರಕೋಪ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ,ಸುಧನ್ವ,ಬರ್ಬರಿಕ,ಚಂಡ ಭಂಡ,ಮೈಂದ,ಬಬ್ರುವಾಹನ, ತರಣಿಸೇನ, ವೃಷಸೇನ,ಲವ,ಕುಶ,ಶುಭಾಂಗ,ಶತ್ರುಘ್ನ,ಕೌರವ ಮತ್ತು ಕೀಚಕನ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಹು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ... ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಹಲವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿರುವ ಇವರು ಅಪಾರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ ಬಳಗವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು,ಹಲವು ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ಅಮಾಸೆಬೈಲಿನ ತೊಂಬಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂತೃಪ್ತ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸರಳ,ಸೌಮ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಸ್ತುಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಅನಂತಪದ್ಮನಾಭ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯೂ ಸರ್ವ ಸಂಪದವನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಮಂದಾರದ ಶುಭಹಾರೈಕೆ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ: ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ:ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಮೃತಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ..
