ಇದು ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನಗಾಥೆಯ ಅನಾವರಣ ಇಂದಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಸಾಧಕರು ತೆಂಕು ಮತ್ತು ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಅಗ್ರಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರು, ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಮೇಳದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವೇಷಧಾರಿ ಬಂಗಾಡಿ ಜನಾರ್ದನ ಗುಡಿಗಾರರು.. ಬೆಳ್ತಂಗಡಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಇಂದುಬೆಟ್ಟುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಾಬು ಗುಡಿಗಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಕುಸುಮಾವತಿಯವರ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ:12.02.1960ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಎಳೆವೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.ಮೂರನೇ ತರಗತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಬಣ್ಣಹಚ್ಚಿ ವೇಷ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭ ಮಾಡಿದ ಇವರು ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ಪಡ್ರೆ ಚಂದು ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ನಾಟ್ಯಬ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ಆಗಿನ ತೆಂಕುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಮೇಳವಾದ ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕದ್ರಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಸೇವೆಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಗಜಗಟ್ಟಿ ಮೇಳವೆನಿಸಿದ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಮೇಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾದಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೈದರು,ಪಿ.ಕಿಶನ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರ ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆಯ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮಂಗಳಾದೇವಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ವರ್ಷ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ನಂತರದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೆರ್ಡೂರು, ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ,ಮಂದಾರ್ತಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು..ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆರು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ವೈ.ಕರುಣಾಕರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರ ದಕ್ಷ ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಮೇಳವಾದ ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ವೇಷಧಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಲಾಸೇವೆಗೈಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ಶೇಣಿ ಗೋಪಾಲಕೃಷ್ಣ ಭಟ್,ತೆಕ್ಕಟ್ಟೆ ಆನಂದ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್,ಪದ್ಯಾಣ ಗಣಪತಿ ಭಟ್,ನಾರಾಯಣ ಶಬರಾಯ,ವೆಂಕಟರಮಣ ಪಾತಾಳ,ಸಿದ್ಧಕಟ್ಟೆ ಚೆನ್ನಪ್ಪ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ,ಆರ್ಗೋಡು,ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯ ದಾರೇಶ್ವರರಂಥ ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಒಡನಾಟ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು ಪಾತ್ರಕೋಪ್ಪುವ ಆಳಾಂಗ, ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಶ್ರುತಿಬದ್ಧತೆ,ಹಿತಮಿತವಾದ ನವರಸ ಭರಿತ ನಾಟ್ಯ,ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ಪನ್ನಮತಿತ್ವ,ಅಪಾರ ಅನುಭವ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಇವರ ವಾಗ್ವೈಕರಿ,ಪಾತ್ರಪೋಷಣೆ ಕಲಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಯಿತು.. ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ಅಹಂಕಾರವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ತನ್ನ ಕಿರಿಯ ಸಹವರ್ತಿ ಕಲಾವಿದರಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆರೆಯುವ ಇವರ ಸೌಮ್ಯಸ್ವಭಾವ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಅಪಾರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಸಮೂಹ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಯಿತು ಪುರುಷ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಖಳ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುವ ಚಾಕಚಕ್ಯತೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಇವರು ದೇವಿಮಹಾತ್ಮೆಯ ಮಧು,ಕೈಟಬ,ಶುಂಭ,ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮಹಾತ್ಮೆಯ ಮುಂಡಾಸುರ,ಹಿಡಿಂಬಾಸುರ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಖಳಪಾತ್ರಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ,ಭೀಮ,ಅರ್ಜುನ,ದ್ರೋಣ,ಕರ್ಣ,ಭೀಷ್ಮ,ಪರಶುರಾಮ, ಬಲಿ, ರಾವಣ,ಕೋಟಿಚೆನ್ನಯ್ಯ ಪ್ರಸಂಗದ ಕೋಟಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಸ್ಲಿಂ ಸುಲ್ತಾನರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಹು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುವ ಇವರ ಧರ್ಮಸಂಕ್ರಾಂತಿ ಪ್ರಸಂಗದ ಬೈರಾನ್ ಖಾನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೌರಿ ಶ್ರೀಗೌರಿ ಪ್ರಸಂಗದ ನಾಶೀರ್ ಖಾನ್ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ದೂರದ ಮುಂಬೈ, ಮಿಜೋರಾಮ್, ದೆಹಲಿ,ದುಬೈ,ಕುವೈತ್, ಮಸ್ಕತ್ ನಲ್ಲೂ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಲಾಪ್ರೌಡಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಇವರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ಹಲವು ಸಂಘ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಇವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿ,ಪುರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಹರಿಣಿಯವರನ್ನು ಬಾಳ ಸಂಗಾತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ಮೂರು ಪುತ್ರಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಒರ್ವ ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಇವರು ಆದರ್ಶ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನೆಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಇವರ ಮುಂದಿನ ಕಲಾಪಯಣ ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸುತ್ತ ಶ್ರೀದುರ್ಗಾಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಮರಳುಚಿಕ್ಕು ದೇವಿಯು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಮಂದಾರದ ಶುಭಹಾರೈಕೆ.. ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ:ಸಂತೋಷ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಲಾಡಿ.. ನಿರೂಪಣೆ:ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಅಮೃತಾ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ...

Born on 12.02.1960 as the eldest son of Sri Babu Gudigara and Mrs Kusumavati in Indubettu in Taluk, He started painting and dressed as a third class student and got yakshagana dance. He served for nineteen years at the then Famous Mela, Suratkal and Kadri, and served at Thessaloniki, the gajagatti mela of Badaguthitt, served for eleven years at Saligramam and Mangaladevi mela, owned by P Kishan Hegde and later served at Perdur, Kamalashila and Mandarthi Mela. For the past six years, He has been performing as a leading artist erection at the Haladi Mela, the famous mela of Y. Karunakara Shetty's daksha mastery. He was also experienced by the association of veteran artistes like Sheni Gopalkrishna Bhatt, Thekkate Ananda Master, Padyana Ganapati Bhatt, Narayana Shabaraya, Venkataramana Patala, Siddhakate Chennappa Shetty, Argodu, Subrahmanya Dareshwara etc. His character-resembles the character, his unique sruti, his soothing dance, his recipe, his experience, his speech and his character-making helped him to appreciate him.
