ಇದು ಯಕ್ಷ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವನಗಾಥೆಯ ಅನಾವರಣ.... ಇಂದಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಷಸಾಧಕರು ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರ ಯಳಬೇರುಶೇಖರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು .. ನವರಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಧಾನ್ಯತೆ ಬಹು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು...ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹಲವು ಜಂಜಾಟದ ಮದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ,ಸಂತೋಷದ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಹಾಸ್ಯವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಸುಹೊಕ್ಕಾಗಿದೆ... ತಾನು ನಗದೆ ಕಲಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಗಿಸುತ್ತ, ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿರಪರಿಚಿತರಾದ ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರು "ನಗೆಗಡಲ ನಾವಿಕ"ಯಳಬೇರು ಶೇಖರ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು.... ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ ಸಮೀಪದ ತಾವಟೆಹಕ್ಲು ಎಂಬ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣಪಯ್ಯ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಲಚ್ಚಮ್ಮನವರ ಪುಣ್ಯಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ 1968ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು... ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸಿ,ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕಮಲಶಿಲೆ ಮಹಾಬಲ ದೇವಾಡಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು,ದಿ. ಎಂ.ಎಂ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರ ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆಯ ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆಜ್ಜೆಕಟ್ಟಿದರು..ಬಾಲಗೋಪಾಲ, ಒಡ್ಡೋಲಗದ ವೇಷಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತ,ಹಾಸ್ಯಭೂಮಿಕೆಗೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟರು.. ಎಂ.ಎಂ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆಯವರ ಯಜಮಾನಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ವಾಡಿ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷ ಸೇವೆಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ಕಲಾಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಸೇವೆಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ... ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮೇಳದ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರಾಗಿರುವ ಇವರು ಬಡಗುತಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು... ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಚ್ಯುತಿ ಬಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ, ರಂಗದ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಮೀರದೆ,ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿಶ್ರಿತವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ,ಕಲಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಗೆಗಡಲಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಲಿಸಬಲ್ಲ ಇವರು,ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಸಂಬದ್ಧ ಮತ್ತು ಅಶ್ಲೀಲವಾದ ಶಬ್ದ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟವರಲ್ಲ.ತನ್ನ ಹಾವಭಾವ, ನಡೆನುಡಿಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಕಲಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಚಾಕಚಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಇವರು,ಯಕ್ಷರಂಗ ಕಂಡ ಅಪೂರ್ವ ಹಾಸ್ಯನಟರು. ಐರ್ಬೈಲು ಆನಂದ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಜೋಡಿ ವೇಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಇವರು ಕೀಚಕ ವದೆಯ ವಿಜಯ,ನಳದಮಯಂತಿಯ ಬಾಹುಕ,ದಕ್ಷಯಜ್ಞದ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ,ನಾಗಶ್ರೀಯ ಕೈರವ,ಗದಾ ಯುದ್ಧದ ಬೆಹೀನಚರ, ಕಂಸವದೆಯ ರಾಜರಜಕ,ಚಿತ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣದ ಅಜ್ಜಿ,ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕದ ಮಂಥರೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ..ಮಾರಣಕಟ್ಟೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮಹಾತ್ಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಮಂಜನ ವೇಷಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನದೇ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಹಾಸ್ಯಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ ಇವರು ,ಕಲಾಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ಮರೆಯದ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗುರುತು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ತನ್ನ ಮಳೆಗಾಲದ ತಿರುಗಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಮುಂಬೈ,ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿರುವ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಹಲವು ಸನ್ಮಾನ, ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು ದೊರೆತಿವೆ.. ಐರ್ಬೈಲು ಆನಂದ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ,ಗೋಳಿಕೆರೆ ಚಂದ್ರ ಗೌಡರು,ದಿ.ಮೊಳಹಳ್ಳಿ ಹೆರಿಯ ನಾಯ್ಕ,ದಿ. ನೀಲಾವರ ಮಹಾಬಲ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಉಮೇಶ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಧಾಕರ ಕೊಠಾರಿಯವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಇವರು ಅಪಾರವಾದ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.. ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸರಸ್ವತಿಯವರನ್ನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಎಂಬ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಲಿಂಗೇಶ್ವರನು ಸುಖ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಯಕ್ಷ ಮಂದಾರದ ಶುಭಹಾರೈಕೆ... ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ:ಹಾಲಾಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ:ಅಮೃತ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ This is an exhibition of the achievements and life of yakshaartists....
